Alicia Urias-Wharton

            Alicia “Lisa” Urias-Wharton , 47, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Friday, January 20, 2017, surrounded by her family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 11, 1969 to Isidro and Maria (Silva) Urias Jr. Lisa was a Registered Nurse at the Toledo Hospital on the O.B. floor for 15 years. She was an animal lover and cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Lisa was known for her sense of humor, wit and sincere kindness.

            Lisa is survived by her loving husband, of 29 years, John Wharton Jr.; children, Justin (Alexa) Wharton, Halie Wharton; mother, Maria Urias-Hibbs; mother-in-law, Joyce Wharton; siblings, Sylvia (Manuel) Zavala, Raymond Urias, Olivia Urias, Victoria Hibbs, and Veronica Hibbs; grandparents, Santos (Tina) Silva; several nieces; nephews and Shadow.  She was preceded in death by her father, Isidro Urias Jr.; father-in-law, John Wharton Sr.; sister-in-law, Lucy Hudson, and grandparents, Isidro (Basilia) Urias Sr.

            Lisa’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the O.B. Girls.

            Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will begin on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St. in Walbridge where family will greet guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lung Transplant Foundation.
