Betty E Diekman

Betty E. Diekman, 91, passed away at Genoa Retirement Village surrounded by her family on Friday, January 19, 2018.  She was born December 19, 1926 to Phillip and Lola Guthrie.  Betty was a member of St. Peter’s UCC in Millbury.  She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.  Betty and her husband, Frank spent many days at Walbridge Senior Center and prior to that, many winters in Florida.

She was blessed for 71 years with her loving husband, Frank who will cherish her forever; her four children, Gary (Judy), Linda Wamer, William (Margaret) and Debbie Davis; her eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  We were all blessed with her loving and caring nature. 

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Phillip, Robert and Norma.  She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Grace (Gary) Shessler and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 in St. Peter’s UCC, 28505 Main St. Millbury, OH. 43447 where family will receive guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter’s UCC or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
