Booker T. "Jabo" Boose Jr.

            Booker T. Boose Jr., affectionately known as Jabo, passed away on January 28, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.  He was born on January 20, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Booker T. and Alma (Washington) Boose Sr. Jabo was a lifelong resident of East Toledo. He was a graduate of Morrison Waite High School class of 1968 where he was a very good athlete and competed in track, basketball and football.

            Jabo was the life of the party and always had an infectious smile upon his face. He was a kind hearted soul who was always willing to help anyone in need. Jabo loved to dance and spend time with his family and friends. He had various employers over the years. His first job was at the East Toledo Center as a teen. Jabo also worked for Sun Oil Refinery and held many other construction jobs including at the Toledo Ship Yards.

            He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Julian (Heather) and Booker T. Boose III; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrell E. and Ronald S. Boose; nieces, Jolynn (Don) and Latasha; nephew, Ronald, as well as countless other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sheila Wright.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. His Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Chapel.   Interment will be private. Charitable donations can be made to Bittersweet Farms.
