Darlene E. Speck Burgess

           Darlene E. Speck Burgess, 76, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born March 27, 1941 in Walbridge, OH to Hiram and Nellie (Morrow) Isbell and was a 1959 graduate of Lake High School. She was a faithful member of Northwood Church of God where she was very active in church functions. She was a gifted cake decorator and baker sharing many of her creations especially her cookies around Christmas time.

            Darlene is survived by her husband, Bill Burgess; son, Jimmy (Carol) Speck; grandchildren, Melissa Speck, Rebecca (James) McCoy, Adam Grimes and Colin Grimes; great-grandson, James McCoy; brother, Richard Isbell and her favorite niece, Laurie Vasquez. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bob Isbell.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 5-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday at Northwood Church of God, 3375 Curtice Rd. (corner of Curtice Rd. and Coy Rd.) where family will receive guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions are appreciated to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Northwood Church of God.
