Dianne S. (Base) Harris

     Dianne S. Harris, 73, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo on May 12, 1943 to Harvey and Helen (Berger) Base and was a 1961 graduate of Clay High School. Dianne loved birds, watching and feeding them in her backyard and birdwatching locally at Ottawa National Wild Life and Crane Creek. She daily logged each bird she discovered. Dianne loved travelling with her husband, Glenn all over the U.S., Hawaii, England and Scotland. Dianne enjoyed reading mystery novels, treasure hunting at flea markets and garage sales, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

     She is survived by her husband, Glenn; daughter, Carrie (Sean) Grindle; son, Jason (Debbie) Harris; grandchildren, Samantha, Lucas and Skylar Grindle, Randi Sampson and Brittany Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Damien and Hayden Sampson and sister, Carol (Duane) Wicks. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Raymond Base.

     Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday in the funeral home at 10 a.m.   Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. The family would like to invite guests to join them for a luncheon at Bayside Boardwalk 2759 Seaman Rd. in Oregon immediately following the burial.
