Dorothy M. (Willinger) Goetz

Dorothy Goetz, 85, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Lane Park of Oregon. She was born in Oregon Twp., Ohio on March 14, 1932 to Karl and Josephine (Werning) Willinger and was a 1950 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She married Walter Goetz on October 11, 1952 and he survives. She served as past president for the Biretta Club at Cardinal Stritch and was inducted into the Stritch Hall of Fame. She was a faithful parishioner of Epiphany of the Lord Parish and cherished time spent with her family.

She is also survived by her children, Michael (Arlene), Susan Knerr, Kathleen (Tom) Hufford, David (Lesa), Stephen (Juli), Kristina (Stephen) Major, James (Marilyn), Mark (Laura) and Timothy (Cathy); 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gerald Goetz and sisters, Helen Schaub, Ann Morrin and Margaret Willinger.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Epiphany of the Lord Parish- Sacred Heart Church with the family to receive guests one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Church.
