Douglas W Henzler

            Douglas W. Henzler, 70, of Curtice, Ohio passed away peacefully with his brother and sister by his side on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo Center.  He was born on November 4, 1944 in Toledo to Edward and Elinor Henzler.  Douglas worked as a telephone repair technician for 32 years with Ohio Bell, Ameritech, Southwestern Bell, AT&T and SBC, retiring in 1994.  He was the recording brother of the Toledo Christadelphian Ecclesia.  In his spare time, Doug enjoyed taking photos and working on computers.  He was an accomplished photographer winning contests at Maumee Bay and at the Ottawa County Fair for photos of lighthouses and sun flowers.

 

            Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia.  He is survived by his sister, Phyllis Quick; brother, Ken (Sandi) Henzler; niece, Heather (Alan) Campbell; nephews, Christopher Quick and Greg Henzler; great nieces, Allyson and Aleah Campbell; special friend, M.J. Thompson; brother-in-law, James Corkins; sister-in-law, Peggy Cluckey and their children. 

 

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 3-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
