Douglas Dean "Doug" Nowakowski

            Douglas Dean “Doug” Nowakowski passed away peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2017. Douglas was born on December 18, 1965 in Toledo. His love of music was dear to him and he was gifted as a bass guitarist and drummer with the band Warning. Doug also worked with various local bands as their sound technician.

            Douglas is survived by his love, Theresa Barnett; children, Adrian (Candice) Roberts and Heather (Faruq) Abdurrasheed-Wagner; grandchildren, Kylie and Amelia Roberts and Amatullah and Muawiyyah Wagner and sister, Denise Nowakowski; nieces, Holly and Brooke. He was preceded in death by his, parents, David and Shirley Nowakowski.

            Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, February 12, 2017, from 2-8 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 628 Locust St., Toledo with the family to receive guests after 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cleveland Clinic.
