FREDERICK A.  BROWN

     Fred Brown, beloved husband of Marilyn Brown, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born May 18, 1932 in Toledo to Lawrence and Mary (Byers) Brown and was a 1951 graduate of Clay High School. He retired as a Garage Foreman from Lucas County Board of Engineers after 20 years of service and was an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where he served as a church elder. He had a gentle soul and a heart of gold. His compassionate spirit touched those around him and he was loved by all including his dog Jake.

     Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert, William and James. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marilyn (Stoner) Brown; children, Marcia (David) Breier, Melody (Jay) Surdasky, Michael (Michelle) Brown and Matthew (Angela) Brown; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and his only sister Diana (Bud)Wells along with many nieces and nephews.

     Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 2-8 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4115 Pickle Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616.  Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with the family to receive guests one hour prior.  Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Pastor Gerald Hartke and all the ICU nurses at Bay Park Community Hospital.
