Gerald "Whiz" Wagner

            Gerald L. Wagner, 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016.  He was born on January 16, 1931 in Toledo to Truman and Cecilia Wagner.  Gerald served in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War.  He worked at Libbey Owens Ford, retiring after 34 years of service.  In his spare time, Gerald enjoyed golfing, his cars and going to car shows.

            He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janet Wagner; son, Michael (Valerie) Wagner; daughter, Kathy Liner; grandchildren, Melissa and Michelle Mieczkowski and great-grandchildren, Nygel, Ayden and Bryson.  Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 11-1 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
