Juana (Hernandez) Rubio

            Juana Rubio, 84, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.  She was born on February 8, 1932 in Mercedes, Texas to Jose’ and Refugia Hernandez.  Juana worked for Hirzel Canning for 25 years.  She loved spending time with her family, dancing and cooking Mexican dishes.  Juana enjoyed crafts and gardening, especially tending to her rose bushes.  She will be remembered for her strong faith and love for her Lord.

            She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Fermin; children, Rosita (Gilbert) Delgado, Maria Rubio, Diane Comiskey, Fermin Rubio, Jr., Gilbert Rubio, Domingo Rubio, Belinda Gonzalez and Crespin Rubio; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  Juana was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Rosalinda Delgado; son-in-law, David Saar and 4 siblings.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 3-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
