Kyle M. Thayer

Kyle M. Thayer, 22, of Port Clinton, OH passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Mercy-St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He was born on April 28, 1994 in Toledo, OH to Kelly Mangold and Jeffrey Thayer. Kyle was often found watching Western movies and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and The Chicago Bulls. In his spare time, he collected pocket knives, enjoyed fishing, cooking and listening to music. Kyle was very creative and talented in drawing. His family meant the world to him. Kyle’s family will remember his great sense of humor the most. He was the kind of person that would light up the room when he entered and now the world is a dimmer place without Kyle.

Kyle is survived by his loving parents, Kelly Mangold and Jeff (Dawn) Thayer; siblings, Nick Thayer, Jessica Wishnewitz and Morgan Woods, as well as many extended family and friends.

A celebration of life for Kyle will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Clinton House, 106 W. Perry Street in Port Clinton, Ohio.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Justice for Kyle Fund at the CanDo Credit Union in Walbridge, Ohio or directly to Kyle’s family.
