Larry Chasteen

Larry L. Chasteen, 78, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Regency Hospital.  He was born on November 29, 1939 in Elmore, Ohio to Arvard and Agnes Chasteen.  Larry attended Waite High School and worked as a Glass Cutter and Union Committee Man for L.O.F., retiring after 31 years.  He worked at United Way and served as Community Service Director/Labor Liaison for A.F.L.C.I.O.  Larry served as a board member on various committees in Toledo and made many friends.  He was the best husband  and father.  He will be dearly missed.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Peggy; daughters, Dawn Flunder and Laurie (Chuck) Mims; step-children, Dan (Robin) Stone, Scott (Karen) Jacob and Deb Ledford; brothers, Jack (Terri) Chasteen, Richard (Lee) Chasteen, Bob (Connie) Chasteen and Ace (Lori) Chasteen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise; daughter, Kym Chasteen; brother, William Chasteen and son-in-law, Jamie Flunder. 

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, February 4, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at N. Oregon Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society.
