Leslie Clifford “Les” Vrooman, 79, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 10, 1938 in Toledo to the late Clifford and Madrid (Morris) Vrooman. Les served in the Navy from 1955-1957. He met the love of his life, Carolyn June in 1959 and they have been happily married for 56 years. Les worked 30 years at Champion Packaging/Oracle as a press operator for 4 years and then became shipping foreman for 26 years from 1966 until he had to retire for medical reasons in June 1996.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister, Barbara; brothers, Richard, Jerry, Doug and Tim. Les is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; sister, Linda (Don); 5 children, Rick (Jenny), Vicky (Jim), Brian (Karen), Dawn (Ed) and Robert; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Les loved working in his yard planting flowers, gardening, feeding his birds and watching them from his front porch, crafts and woodworking.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 3-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 26, 2018 at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
