Marvin “Marv” Harris

Marvin L. Harris, 67, died last Monday, January 1, 2018 at home with his loving family. He was born August 7, 1950 in Oregon, OH to the late Oscar and Hilda (Pederson) Harris.  He attended Clay High School and retired with 30+ years as an Iron Worker with Local #55.  Throughout his life he could be found fishing on lake Erie.  

Marvin is survived by children Angela Newman and Jeff (Kiel) Harris;  and grandchildren Jocelyn, Bethany Honaker and Austin, Kristen, Paige, Kaylee Harris; and brothers Wayne, Glenn, Gerald; and sisters Linda Kosch, Ellen McKenzie; and daughter-in-law Nikki Harris. He is preceded in death by his wife Madonna and son Marvin and brothers Ervin and Danny .

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, January 14, 2018, from 12-2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  Details can be found at fb.com/marvoniron or www.freckchapel.com
