Mary Agnes "Muncie" Borie

            Mary Agnes Borie, 85, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Genacross Lutheran Home of Toledo.  She was born on June 23, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Mary (Jusko) Borie.  Mary worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance until she retired. In her retirement she was a Book Keeper at Lucas County Auto Title. She enjoyed reading and loved to travel, most memorably to Hungary. Mary was active in the Birmingham and East Toledo communities using her talents as a cook at various churches and special events. She was a light in many lives and will be dearly missed.

            Mary is survived by her sister, Jo Ann (Donald) Singlar; nephew, Alan (Regina) Singlar; nieces, Deanna (David) Routson and Renee (Jeff) Webb; great nieces and nephews, Kaitlin, Travis and Espen Singlar, Maddie and Corey Routson and Turner and Justine Webb; as well as many other family and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.

            Arrangements have been entrusted to Freck Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Epiphany of the Lord Parish St. Stephens Church, 1880 Genesee St, Toledo on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. Her family will greet guests one hour before the service. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Epiphany of the Lord Parish St. Stephens Church.
