Mary Ruth (Whitt) Leach

            Mary R. Leach, 91, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born in Hazel Green, Alabama on May 6, 1926 to A.D. and Irene (Reynolds) Whitt. Mary wed Carl Leach and together raised 3 children. She was a Selector at Libby Glass for 25 years until she retired. In her spare time she enjoyed ceramics and gardening. Mary had many found memories made with her family and they will miss her dearly.

            She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Nancy) and Gary (Sue); son-in-law, John; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Peggy. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Kathy and sisters, Sis, Betty, Jean, Vonnie and Faye.

            Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. Mary’s funeral will be on Thursday in the Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
