Mary Ann (Pietrykowski) Pinney

Mary A. Pinney, 83, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born in Toledo on March 6, 1934 to Charles and Hattie (Antoszewski) Pietrykowski and married James Pinney on January 30, 1954. Mary was employed by Northwood Jewelers for more than 20 years and retired April of 1998. She truly loved her retirement years. She loved to read, crochet and knit but her greatest joy came from spending time with her daughter Pam and her two great-grandchildren Megan and Andy. They were the light of her life. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and was a member of the prayer shawl ministry at her church.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband; son, Kevin; parents; sisters, Rose Reinhart, Alice Rasik, Barbara Simkus and brothers, Walter and Richard Pietrykowski. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Steve) Mawhorter; grandsons, William (Heather) Mawhorter and Timothy Mawhorter; great-grandchildren, Megan and Andrew and sister, Irene Kujawa. 

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on  Saturday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Gerald Hartke officiating. The family will receive guests one hour prior. Burial will follow at Lake Twp Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the prayer shawl ministry at her church or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
