Mary Lou (Cousino) Bumbera

     Mary Lou Bumbera, 77, of Oregon, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Orchard Villa. She was born in Oregon on July 14, 1938 to Leonard and Beatrice (Mominee) Cousino and was a 1956 graduate of Clay High School. Mary Lou worked as a sales associate with Kmart and then with Meijer retiring after 20 years of service. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, working with ceramics and spending time with her grandchildren.

      She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, George W. Bumbera; son, Randy Bumbera (Ann Hornstein); daughter, Deborah (Charles) Newhouse; grandchildren, Candace (Guadalupe) Garcia, Crystal Cobian, Randee Rae (Ryan) Mitchell, Casidy Bumbera, USN and Ryleah Bumbera; and great grandchildren, Brooklyn Garcia and Enrique Cobian, IV “Hank” along with many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Homer Cousino, Catherine Burnell and Lilas Burnell.

     Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 2 - 8 p.m. where the Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m.   Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Foundation.
