Rita Ann (Kroeger) Purdy

            Rita A. Purdy, 74, of Toledo passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017. She was born on November 13, 1942 to Elmer and Irene (Henry) Kroeger. Rita was a Tax Consultant for 23 years with H & R Block. She enjoyed needle point, bowling, watching W.W.E and Jeff Gordon. Rita was devoted to her family and they will miss her dearly.

            She is survived by her children, Danny (Debbie) Spaulding, Valerie (Frederick) Thorn, Rodney (Shari) Spaulding, Gerrilynn (Ed) Purdy-Hatzidakis and Tammy (Joe) Gangway; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and sisters, Shirley and Barbara. Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Garold Purdy; parents; son, Gary Spaulding; 1 grandson and brothers, Leland, Carl, Lionel and Jerry.

            Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the Funeral Service to begin at noon that day in the Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
