Robert G. Curtis, Sr.

     Robert  G. Curtis, Sr.  honorably served our country in the U.S. Marine Corp. and retired from Chrysler Corp. in 1997 after 30 years of service. He was a loving husband of 58 years to Grace P. (McIlrath) Curtis and a good father to his four children, Bob Jr., Lonnie, DeAnna and Troy.

     Robert passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born February 26, 1940 in Richmond, KY to Bosley and Viola (Coffy) Curtis and was a 1958 graduate of Waite High School.  Being a gifted mechanic, Robert enjoyed building and repairing motorcycles and automobiles. He loved riding his motorcycles and boating.

     He is survived by his loving wife; children, Lonnie, DeAnna (James) Avery and Troy (Trina) Curtis; granddaughters, Olivia and Christina Avery; daughter-in-law, Vera Born Curtis and stepbrother, Chuck Wilson. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Quentin Wilson; son, Robert, Jr. and stepbrother, Gary Wilson.

     Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd, Oregon, on Thursday, June 30, 2016 after 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Services to begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
