Wanda M. (Arison) Carbe

Wanda M. Carbé, 77, of Toledo, OH passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Campus. She was born on July 7, 1938 in Fayette County, PA to Jay and Bernice (Crable) Arison. Wanda retired form Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart Home for the Aged.

Wanda was a superb crafter: first in the nurturing of her three children, then in her garden, crochet and finally in the devotion to her 10 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.  She was a lover of life and living it to the fullest. 

Wanda was a traveler:  she loved vacationing with her son and his family; she went to the East Toledo Senior Center for bingo and corn hole with her friends, and she never missed going to an annual plant sale at the Erie Street Farmer’s Market.  In her little spare time she’d find adventure at the casino or shopping trips.

            She is survived by her children, Jackie (Don) Jude, Jodie (Dave) Turner, Jason (Rosie) Carbé; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and brother, Sonny (Tan) Arison. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Corrado Carbé.

Arrangements are being handled by the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, August 1 in St. Ignatius Cemetery at 1 p.m. Contributions in Wanda’s name can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
