Betty J. Maix, 69, of Oregon passed away peacefully, Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Hospice of N.W. Ohio in Perrysburg after a losing a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer. She was born on August 16, 1938 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Wayne and Goldie Nagel. Betty worked as a Retail Manager at various places including; Petco, Bargain City and 7 Eleven. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed crafting, bird watching and traveling. Her favorite pastime was raising her exotic parrots, especially Pickles. Betty was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Wynn School Room Mother and a Scouts Den Mother. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Leon Maix, children: Daniel (Barb) Maix, David Maix, Tina (Craig) Scott, Tonya (Randy) Maix-Carstensen and Rocky “Norman” (Michelle) Maix; grandchildren: Danny Lee, Desiree’, Corey, Ron, David, Bill, Scotty, Tony, Jim, Ashley, Lindsey, Kayla, and Kelsey; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Dick (Deb) Greenich; sisters, Connie (Tom) Sayre and Tammy (Mike) Hauck, sister-in-law, Brenda Greenich and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Glen Campbel and brothers, Wayne and Jim. Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S.
