In Loving Memory of Caroleen Johnson October 17, 1920 - April 24, 2008 Age: 87

Caroleen R. Johnson, 87, of Oregon passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2008 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born in Antwerp, OH. on October 17, 1920 to Albert and Nellie (Paulson) Hirzel. Caroleen married her husband, Neil on April 6, 1942 and worked as an R.N. for the Toledo District Nurses. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and helped with the R.C.I.A. Caroleen is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Neil Johnson; daughter, Mary Johnson; granddaughter, Katie Johnson; sisters, Nellie MacDonald, Sister Ellen Hirzel and Jody Trudeau. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Isabell Sheehan, Mary Rogan and brother, John. Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon (419) 693-9304, on Sunday, April 27, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. where a scripture service will be held at 5 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Monday in the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. and continue on with the funeral mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor or Lutheran Home at Toledo. “A special thanks to all those involved with her care given over the past few years especially, Dr. Tara Robinson.”
