Ella G. Phillips, aged 92, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in Hospice of N. W. Ohio, Perrysburg. Ella was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Harvey and Martha (Staggs) Harris on December 9, 1915. She spent her childhood years in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Ella was married to James R. Phillips, who preceded her in death in January of 1980.
Surviving Ella are her children: Beverly Zilka, Wanda (Robert) Peace and Keiffer Phillips; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandson and siblings; Thomas O. Harris, Elsie Fisher and Inez Carden. Along with her husband, Ella was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, two brothers, four sisters and a great-grandson.
Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon (419) 693-9304, on Friday, February 29, 2008 from 3 – 8 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Echo Meadows Church of Christ or the Hospice of N.W. Ohio.
