Gladys E. Yard, 95, of Oregon, OH. passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Hospice of N.W. Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on September 23, 1912 in Walbridge, OH. to George and Beulah (Zerkle) DeWitt. Gladys was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be remember as a professional bingo player who never missed a chance to play. In her younger years, Gladys was a volunteer for the Oregon Fire Station #3-Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed gardening and fishing. She is survived by her loving family, children: William Yard and Kay Anita Yard, grandchildren: Holly Wintersmith, Amy (Barry) Muller, Geoff (Kim) Gross, Kerry Hutto, Matt Gross, Pam Hudson, Harold (Kim) Dusseau, Cindy (Charlie) McGuire, Vernon “Gene” Dusseau Jr. and Betsy (Andy) Blizzard, 20 great-grandchildren, 14 great great-grandchildren and a sister, Polly Campbell. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, William Yard Sr., daughters, Georgetta Dusseau and Wilma Yard, great-granddaughters, Amanda and Karleigh, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Wynn Rd. in Oregon (419) 693-9304, Friday, January 11, 2008 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
