In Loving Memory of Mary M. Powers October 18, 1924 - March 7, 2008 Age: 83

Mary Margaret Powers, 83, of Walbridge, OH. passed away peacefully Friday, March 7, 2008 at Bay Park Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 18, 1924 in Hartford, CT. to Peter and Mary (Schon) Colturi. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was a founding member of St. Jerome Catholic Church where she was involved with the Altar Rosary Sodality among many other church activities. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Ageless Wonders and playing pinochle. br> She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John Powers, children: Kathleen (Nick) Wright, Michael (Donna) Powers, Timothy (Gail) Powers, Maureen (Dave) Slovak, Christopher (Teresa) Powers, Jerome (Karen) Powers and Joseph (Donna) Powers. Mary was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph (Mary Ann) Colturi, aunt, Cecilia Hassinger and niece, Shari Spencer. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and son, Daniel Powers. Friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon (419) 693-9304, on Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. where a rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Jerome Catholic Church on Thursday at 11 a.m. where friends will be greeted one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jerome Catholic Church.
