Jerry Wayne Rugg, age 64, of Oregon, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Jerry was born to Lester and Dorothy Rugg in Sandusky, Ohio on March 22, 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Jerry loved his grandkids and helping people. He was active at Hope Community Church and where he helped with maintenance with his special buddy, Bill. Jerry also was a volunteer firefighter with Oregon Station #1.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Stella; sons, Terry (Shawn) Rugg and Tim (Holly) Rugg; sister, Marlene (Paul) Cupp; grandchildren, Amanda (Vince) Bulone, Dakota Michael Rugg, Samantha Rugg, Averi Mackenzie Rugg, Adelyn Katherine Rugg, a great-grandbaby on the way and a special young man, Kyle Nutter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may visit Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Hope Community Church of the Nazarene 5650 Starr Ave. in Oregon where the family will receive friends on hour prior to service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Community Church.

Stella, Terry, Tim, and others family and friends. I count the friendship I shared with Jerry a wonderful blessing from God. Jerry was always so giving, always want to help when there was work to be done. It was so enjoyable hearing stories from Jerry about his travels working, and also about the garage he co-owned when he was younger.
Jerry's special love for all his grandchildren from Mandy to Adelyn was filled with so much kindness, encouragement, endless patience, you could say he melted in their presence.
I miss our coffee times, and am shure Bill, Dave, and endless others will miss his special charm and warmness. Thanks Larry A
