James “Jim” Bellville, 72, of Toledo, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.  He was born on June 5, 1940 in Luckey, Ohio to Edwin and Bertha (Laycock) Bellville.  Jim married his wife, Lucy (Mossburg) and together they raised their 5 children and shared 53 glorious years together.  He worked for H&R Block for 16 years and for Canadian National Rail Road as a carman for over 37 years, retiring in 2000.  He enjoyed Tigers baseball, Sudoku and was truly mathematically gifted.  He was an umpire for Oregon and Toledo recreation leagues and coached girls elementary basketball.  

He is survived by his wife, Lucetta “Lucy”; children: Allen J. Bellville Jr., Sherry (John) Kertesz, Timothy (Rhonda) Bellville, Lisa Boyd and Patricia Bellville; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary (Ray) Finnearty; former sister-in-law, Lois Garber; niece, Lynn Van Hoose. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Bellville.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, Ohio on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m., where memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.  Burial will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family or the American Diabetes Association.
