Robert Pierce Obituary

Robert Gene Pierce, 71, raised in Oregon but resided in Toledo, gained his wings and was called home on April 5th 2024 at Bay Park Hospital. Pops was a business owner and a man with many talents. He worked at Meijer's for 19 years and made many friends there.  He was an amazing kindhearted man and anyone that knew him was very lucky. He loved telling stories about his childhood and knew to always listen to his aunt, Barb. He had an obsession with tools and zippo lighters, he had a big collection of both. Pops loved talking on the phone with his cousin, Florine, she meant a lot to him and would speak of her quite a bit. On May 24th 1974 Pops married the love of his life Sandy, and they raised three children together. Pops was a family man; he enjoyed spending the day at the shop with his son, Bud; grandson, Josh; and brother-in-law, Randy. At night he’d spend time in the garage with his daughter, Cole and his granddaughter, Jen while his daughter did her live show. No matter what, Pops always made sure to spend quality time with his daughter and son. Popsie you’ve gained your angel wings, you are free of pain and now onto your new journey… Go on now be free “Your wings were ready but our hearts were not.”

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sandy; children, Cole (Tia), Bud (Tammy), Randy Jr. (Cheryl); sister, Rebecca (Tom); half-brother, George; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Floyd); grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Jacob, Melody, Lilly, and Spencer; great-grandchildren, Emma and Jaxon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and members of the Colemart Family.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather, Joseph and Essie; his father, George Lawrence Pierce; mother, Rosella Iva Lacourse Fulton; stepfather, Andrew Fulton; siblings, Floyd and Jackie; aunts, Barbara and Bubba (Vernabell); and his uncles, Floyd, Gilbert, Louie and Dale.
