Grief Resources

When a death occurs, it marks the beginning of a difficult transition period. Our family and staff wish to express our sincere condolences to you and your family. Our desire is to provide personal service and support that will comfort and assist you during this time. As part of this effort, we have compiled a list of bereavement resources that offer help and hope.

Yearly CARE WALK happens every October.

Coping With Any Loss
Date-Time: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:00-7:30p.m.
Description: An ongoing interactive grief support group for adults who are adjusting to the loss of any loved one.

Kids Grief Support Group
Date-Time: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:00p.m.
Description: Interactive grief support gatherings for children, ages 5-11 and 12-16, who are adjusting to the loss of a loved one.

Mid-Life Spousal or Partner Loss
Date-Time: 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6:30-8:00p.m.
Description: An ongoing support group for those that have experienced the death of a spouse or partner during their mid-life years.

Young Families in Grief
Date-Time: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30-8:00p.m.
Description: For younger adults who have experienced the loss of a spouse or partner and their young children who have lost a parent. Adults will explore their grief and reflect on issues concerning single parenting. Children will use art, music, and play to better understand their grief. Adults and children will also have family time to grieve together. You do not need to have children to participate.

After Your Parent Dies
Description: Four weekly support sessions for adults who are working through the unique pain and healing process of grieving the loss of one or both parents. Share ideas and discuss various topics.

Grief 101: The First Step
Date-Time: One time, two-hour session
Description: An educational meeting that provides a basic understanding of grief and loss and prepares participants for further group experiences. Offered twice monthly, both day and evening. Please call for dates, times, and locations.

Men in Grief
Description: Four weekly support sessions for any man who is grieving. This group is conducted by men, for men to discuss practical tips for managing everyday life following the death of a loved one.

Supportive Spouses
Description: Five weekly support sessions open to recently bereaved men and women who are adjusting to life without their mates.

Pathways
Description: Seven weekly support sessions open to all adults who want to explore the spiritual dimensions of the loss of a loved one.

Holiday Grief Workshop
Description: A one time session open to adults and children in grief who are facing the holidays and trying to cope with loss.

Alone Again

Description: This group for older adults who are experiencing the loss of a spouse through nursing home placement, divorce, death, or other causes meets for dinner once a month.
