Betty Lee (Warner) Ferree

     Betty L. Ferree, 93, of Walbridge, OH passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born in Toledo on December 9, 1923 to Lorenzo and Mae (Schudell) Warner and married Jack Ferree on May 27, 1944. She worked as a secretary for Maccabees Insurance and then for the American Lung Association as a secretary and bookkeeper retiring in 1979. Betty and her husband were charter members of the First Church of the Nazarene on Starr Ave which is now Hope Community Church.  Betty and Jack moved to Florida where they lived for 30 years and in 2009 moved back to Ohio to be closer to family. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed crafting.

     She is survived by her son, Michael (Gloria) Ferree; daughter, Norene (Eddie “Bub”) Mikels; 7 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Joretta Warner along with many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Thomas Ferree and siblings, Hazel, Shirley, Dollie and Daniel.

     Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
