Beverly Jean Laurell

Beverly Jean Laurell, 71, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at St. Vincent Medical Center.  She was born on January 25, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio to Joseph and Dorothy Laurell.  Beverly attended Waite High School and worked as a Corporal at the Lucas County Sheriff’s Department for 24 years, retiring in 2004.  She was a kind and caring person who volunteered many years at St. Charles Hospital.  Beverly helped support people through addiction.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, going to dinner, and enjoying the holidays. Beverly was the happiest when giving and helping others.  She will be dearly missed.

Beverly is survived by her loving family, son, Paul Berente; daughter, Sherry (Craig) Crockett; grandchildren, Jessica (Matthew) Steinman, Nickolas Berente  (Miranda Johnston), Kaycee Berente and Lori Berente; great-grandchildren, Maxwell and William Steinman and special friend, Leslie Nadeau.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. where a scripture service will take place at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. and continue on with the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
