Catarino “Cato” Hernandez

November 23, 1977 – July 15, 2018

            Catarino was born on November 23, 1977 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Gregoria and Lupe.  Cato was a man of many trades and ran a business with his father.  Cato was the best Father, Husband, Grandpa, Son, Brother, Uncle and Cousin anyone could ask for.

            Cato loved spending time with his family and children.  Family was everything to him.  He enjoyed fishing, swimming, cooking, grilling, and riding his 4 wheelers and dirt bike.  He was a die hard Oakland Raiders and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and loved watching football!  Cato would always help people in need and never judged anyone about their life.  Cato had a heart of gold.  He loved his wife and children and they meant everything to him.  Catarino passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2018.

            He is survived by his loving wife, Christina; parents, Gregoria and Lupe; father-in-law, Hector; children, Catarino Jr. (Angelica), Celia, Michael, Felix, Santos, Graciela and Adelina; granddaughters, Izabella and Marcella; sister, Venselada; brothers, Lupe Jr. (Juanita) and Roberto and many loving nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Juan, Elvira and Gregoria; mother-in-law, Linda and special cousins, Nick and Lola.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday with prayers at the funeral home and continue on with the funeral Mass at Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church at 11 a.m.  Burial follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to his children.
