Charley E. Cogswell

            Charley E. Cogswell, 73, of Curtice, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 30, 2017.  He was born on February 16, 1944 in Ashtabula, OH to Pierce and Lina Cogswell.  Charley worked at B.P. Refinery for 30 years.  He retired from the Boilermakers Local #85 in 1999 where he had been a member since 1962.  Charley married his wife, Patricia on September 17, 1983, sharing 34 years together.  He was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and the Family Motor Coach Association.

            Charley is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; children, David (Tina) Cogswell, Eric (Vicki) Cogswell and Collin Cogswell; step-children, Laurie (Jeff) Pelczarski and Joey (Jamie) Bates; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mae Stewart and Dorothy Cogswell; brother, Billy Cogswell; very special friends, Mark and Sara Carter and their baby girl, Addilyn who brought great joy to his life.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sue Phelps; his baby brother and brother-in-law, Robert Stewart.

            Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. Private funeral services will be held for the family.  Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Donor’s choice.
