Daniel L. Czyzewski

Daniel L. Czyzewski, 77, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center.  He was born on February 20, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to Angela and Joseph Czyzewski.  Daniel was a 1959 graduate of Macomber High School and served in the U.S. Army.  He was a Toledo Fireman for 28 years, retiring from station #18 in 1995.  Daniel was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the Car Club Placers.  He served in various capacities for the City of Oregon including, Civil Service Commission, Oregon City Counsel, Oregon City Board of Zoning Appeals and Oregon Planning Commission.

Daniel is survived by his daughter, Therese (John) Jordan; son, Marty (Cyndi) Czyzewski; grandchildren, Jack, Ben, Sam Jordan and Leslie Czyzewski; sister, Barbara Masten; brother, Robert (Corrine) Czyzewski and special companion, Judy Vestal.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, his parents and brother-in-law, William.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. where the last alarm service will be held at 7 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 17th at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. in Oregon.  Memorial contributions can be made to Toledo Firefighters Museum or St. Ignatius Church.
