Douglas D. Barnes

Douglas D. Barnes, 59, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 due to complications from a massive heart attack at Mercy Health St. Vincent Heart and Vascular ICU. He was born February 16, 1959 in Toledo. Doug was a 1978 graduate of Waite High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the guitar. Doug was a caring person with a strong faith who always put others first.

            Doug is survived by his mother Jean L. (Coffman) Barnes; sister Barbara (Steve) Dermer; nephews Aaron and Zachary; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins and very special friend Rude. He is preceded in death by his father Donald Barnes. The family would like to thank Dr. Ali and his staff for their wonderful care and support.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, from 3-6 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
