Edith Selee Obituary

Edith M. Selee, 88, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Landings of Oregon. She was born October 7, 1929 in Toledo. Edith was a 1947 graduate of Woodward High School. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and Sun Oil Retirees Club. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, reading, needlepoint, ballroom dancing and traveling the world. Bill and Edith were residents of Margate, FL for 25 years before returning to Oregon in 2015. Edith loved her children, grandchildren and great granddaughters. She will be dearly missed.

Edith is survived by William “Bill” D. Selee, her husband of 68 years; children, Mark (Judy) Selee, Sherry (Mike) Phillips, Kelly (Tom) Bury and Scott (Rachelle) Selee; grandchildren, Teresa, Jackie, Jim, Paul, Doug, Sarah, Jessica, Austin, Alexandra and Ashley; 6 great-granddaughters; sisters, Eileen (Ernie) Bowman and Nancy Swartz; brother-in-law, Howard Selee; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Violet (Mitchell) Caldwell; brother-in-law, Richard Swartz. Special thank you to Mel with Home Instead.

Family and friends may visit Christ United Methodist Church, 5757 Starr Ext., Oregon, OH on Friday, September 7, 2018, from 10 a.m.-1p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 1p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Christ United Methodist Church.
