Edward R. Dixon, Sr.

Edward R. Dixon, Sr.,82, of Toledo and formerly of Oregon, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Genacross, Toledo Campus.  Ed was born in Trigg County, KY on January 9, 1935 to Loyd and Belvie (Ricks) Dixon and was a 1952 graduate of Trigg County High School. For over 30 years, Ed worked as a security guard for L.O.F. He was an avid Univ. of Kentucky, U of M and Detroit Tigers fan.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Dixon and brother, Thomas Dixon. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Dave) Bissett, Susan (Jeff) Kinsey and Edward (Cindy) Dixon Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew, David, Daniel, Amanda, Diana, Amber, Courtney and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Hayleigh, Lily, Elise, Sophie, Nolan, Lettie and Conway; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Juanice Dixon, Marthalou (Roy) Glass and Erma (Charlie) Felkey.

Friends and family may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Rd., Oregon, on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. with the Funeral Service to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society
