Edward L. Janick

            Edward L. Janick, 63, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in the presence of his family. He was born August 11, 1955 in Toledo. He worked in maintenance at Kings Cove Apts. followed by 25 years at LMHA. Ed loved early NASCAR, fishing and birdwatching. Ed was very quick witted. He enjoyed grilling and his smoker. Ed made many trips to New York salmon fishing and vacationing at Little Platte Lake near Lake Michigan.

            Left to love and miss him are his loving wife, Catharine; sisters, Peggy Day and Catherine (Bryan) Janick; brother, John Janick; brother-in-law, William Thomas. Also left to love and miss him are Amy Crowe, Karen (Jeff) Berry and Kate (Joe) Kuhn; grandsons, Oliver, Nick and Max; great-grandson, Damion; niece, Tina (Shane); nephews, Charlie (Helena), Jeremy and Nathan; many great nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Janick; grandson, Aaron and brother-in-law, Raymond Day. It is not goodbye, it’s see you later.

A memorial gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 3-5:30 p.m. where a memorial service will take place at 5:30 p.m.
