Elizabeth "Beth" (Vasko) Powers

Elizabeth “Beth” Powers, 59, of Oregon, Ohio passed on August 12, 2018.  She was born on October 26, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Carol Vasko.  Beth was a 1976 graduate of Waite High School.  She worked for Aramark Food Service at the University of Toledo as a baker for 31 years.  Beth was also a volunteer for the Lucas County Special Olympics and Idance Adaptive Performing Arts Center of Toledo.  She loved spending time with her family, and going camping with her granddaughter.  She will be dearly missed.

Beth is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Jimmie Powers; children, Jason (Christi) Powers and Sarah Powers; granddaughter, Allison; mother, Carol Vasko; siblings, John (Robin) Vasko, Mike (Theresa) Vasko, Mary (Joe) Whitten, Carol (Tim) Conkright, Cathy (Carlos) Romero, Theresa (Todd) Spencer and Chris Wagoner and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, John.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday, August 17, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. in Oregon where the family will receive guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lucas County Special Olympics or Idance Adaptive Performing Arts Center.
