Esmeralda “Mere” (nee Mata) Perez, 57, died Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Parkview Care Center in Fremont, OH. She was born November 26, 1959 in Lubbock, TX to the late Andres Mata and Ester (nee Vasques) Mata. She is preceded in death by her husband Mario Perez, son Tomas Perez, siblings Guadalupe Mata, Detroit, MI; Jose Angel Mata, Detroit, MI; Andres Mata Jr.,Galveston, TX; Dalia “Mata” Perez, Grand Rapids, MI and Raymond Mata, Toledo, OH. Mere is survived by children Shawn Marie (Kenneth Paul) Williams, Ruben (Cynthia) Vela Jr., Maricela (Margarito) Arrazola and Mario Perez III. Mere was the grandmother of 11 grandchildren Jose Andres Perez, Iliana Arrazola, Manuel Arrazola, Jimena Arrazola, Adrian Perez, Marianna Li Perez, Tomas Angel Perez, Mario Perez, Gaviota Ann Vela, Eliseo Jaydan Vela and Abigail Elizabeth Williams, siblings Juan (Maria) Mata and Martin (Lee) Mata Fremont, OH; Maria (George) Machuca of San Benito, TX; Olag (Noe) Vela, Fremont, OH and Rogelio Mata, Fort Worth, TX.  A Rosario Mass will be scheduled at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Detroit, MI and then burial in Woodmere Cemetery, Detroit, MI.
