Frank Sopko

Frank Anthony Sopko, 85, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Mercy Health-St. Charles Hospital.  He was born on October 22, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Emery and Anna Sopko.  Frank attended Central Catholic High School before joining the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.  He was a supervisor at Independent Book Binding for many years and retired from Blade Printing Company.  Frank was a former member of the V.F.W. Post #4906.  He was an avid dog lover and owned many dogs over the years. 

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Leatrice; son, Steve (Becky) Sopko; grandchildren, Stephen (Naomi) Sopko, Benjamin (Suzanne) Sopko and Emily Sopko and great-granddaughter, Lux.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew, John, Joseph and James Sopko and sisters, Ellen Griffin and Anne Rogers.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 2-6 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 6 p.m.  Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Toledo Animal Shelter.
