Franklin Yates Obituary

Franklin Anthony Yates, 81, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Genacross Lutheran Services, Toledo. He was born October 18, 1936 in Toledo. Franklin retired from Diamond Crystals specializing in building maintenance. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Franklin loved music including playing the piano, harmonica and guitar. He was very crafty and enjoyed painting and woodworking.

Franklin is survived by Joyce (Bollinger) Yates his loving wife of 58 years; daughter Kimberly Gallagher; grandchildren Cassandra Burton (Amy), Melinda (Jacob) Osthimer, Nicholas Espinoza and Oralia Espinoza; 7 great grandchildren; brother Reynold (Carol) Yates and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary (Kwiatkowski) Yates; brothers, Thomas, James and Douglas Yates; sisters Pauline Golkiewicz, Dolores Weatherly and Kathleen Phillips.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 2-7 p.m. with the funeral service at 7 p.m. Private burial will be at Willow Cemetery.
