Gisele “GiGi” Rosanbalm, 87, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at Mercy Health-St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born May 17, 1931 in Sainte, Charente-Maritime, France to the late Raymond and Emilliene (Petit) Catrou. Gisele was a switchboard operator for the U.S. Army in France after WWII and this is where she met her husband. She retired from St. Charles Mercy Hospital where she worked in the housekeeping department. She loved the wine and food of France, the finer things of life, and traveling the world. GiGi was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
GiGi is survived by daughters, Pat (Steve) Pier, Cindy Miller (Dennis) and Barb Lewis; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica (Brad), Josh (Nahdia), Nick, Brooke (Ahmad) and Bob; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Gavin, Max, Bella, Alex, Wyatt, Maddie and Rory; brother-in-law, George (Judy) Rosanbalm. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Rosanbalm and special friend Dick Yeager.
Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, January 14, 2019, from 2-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery.
