James Phalen Obituary

James ”Jim” Douglas Phalen, 50, passed away, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Flower Hospital. He was born January 15, 1968 in Toledo, OH to CJ and Mary Ann (Pokornik) Phalen. During his younger years, Jim marched with the Glassmen Drum Corps and was a graduate of Clay High School. He was self-employed and had a passion for logistics operations along with being a member of TEANA through Active Aero. Those who worked with or for him were like family. He enjoyed golf and football and was an avid Michigan fan but his favorite past time was spending time with his daughters.

Jim is survived by his daughters Rachel, Olivia and Maria Phalen and their mother Cheryl Phalen; siblings Nadine Eischen, Christine Kollarik and Jeff (Cindi) Phalen; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
