Welcome to the memorial page for

James Wojtowicz

December 21, 1945 ~ June 22, 2017 (age 71) 71 Years Old

James T. “Big Jim” Wojtowicz was born on December 21st 1945 and passed away on June 22nd 2017.

Big Jim graduated from Whitmer High School and obtained his Master’s Degree from The University of Toledo. He was a machine repairman at the Chrysler Toledo Machining Plant in Perrysburg, OH for ten years. Big Jim spent the bulk of his career proudly working for Toledo Jeep and retired as a maintenance manager.

Never to be shown up on the dance floor, Big Jim was the life of the party and usually the one throwing the party. He had a clever sense of humor and a laugh that would fill the room, then cause him to lose his breath. He loved watching movies and riding his Harley, but more than anything, Big Jim loved to sit on his back porch, have a beer, and watch his pond fill up with people he loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Wojtowicz and his brother Dr. David Walker.

He is survived by his family, Jim and Barbara Comer of Luckey, OH, Jimmy Comer also of Luckey, Jill and Chris Burton of KS, Jeff and Lynsey Comer of Columbus, Jenna and Anthony Comer-Hill of IL, his grandchildren; Austin, Santino, Serenity, Wren, Jacson, Webb, Fynnigan, Walker, and Callum, and countless friends who were as close as family.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Freck Funeral Chapel in Oregon, OH on Monday, July 3rd from 5-7 p.m. where a memorial service will held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Spiritual Living 1200 N. La Brea Ave. Los Angeles, CA. 90038.

We would also like to invite those who knew him to a Celebration of Life at his pond on July 8th from 3-9 p.m.
