Jason Christopher Cook

Jason Christopher Cook, 48, of Toledo, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 21, 2019.  He was born on September on 30, 1970 in Toledo, Ohio to Francis Cook and Susan (Cready) Abde.  He loved animals, helping others, listening to music, especially Shinedown, going to concerts, playing drums and guitar, reading, making homemade salsa, and most importantly, spending time with his daughter (and embarrassing her!), Maddy, and son, Michael.  His loved ones will miss his quick-wit, kind heart, story-telling abilities and charm. Although his struggles were many, Jason left a deep impression on his close friends and family through his unfailing love and tender spirit. We will miss you so much, Jason, but find solace in knowing that you are no longer suffering and are now in the loving arms of your mom, with whom you have missed so deeply.

He is survived, and will be sorely missed by his son, Michael Cook, daughter, Madison Cook, friend and former wife, Lisa (Smith) Cook, his sister and brother-in-law, Jessica (Abde) and Brian Tobias, nephews, Henry and Griffin Tobias, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Susan (Cready) Abde, step-father, Charles Abde, father, Francis Cook, and his little brother, Butchie Cook.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd. in Oregon from 2-6 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to his children, Michael and Madison Cook.
