Joanne Pettit

     Joanne Pettit, 75, of Northwood, Ohio passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017.  She was one of 15 kids, born on August 18, 1942 to Richard and Cora Witt.  Joanne graduated in 1960 from Oak Harbor High School and married John Pettit that same year.  She had a love for baking, watching the Food Network and was known for her homemade pies.

     Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, John of 34 years in 1994.  She was also preceded by her parents; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Anthony Jr.; sisters, Mildred, Barbara, Anna and Kathleen; brothers, Alvin, Wilbur, Richard and Karl.  She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Lynne Smith) of Martin, Jeffery (Tena) of Moline, Judith (Tim) Schorling of Northwood and Karl (Heather) of Genoa; grandchildren, Chad (Kait), Abby, Ashley, Joshua, Anthony (Tiffany), Bradley, Drake and Garrett; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn of Oak Harbor, Betty of Van Buren, Ginger of Genoa and Barbara of Toledo; brothers, Ervin of Genoa and Ronald (Sharon) of Northwood; sister-in-law, Patricia Roper and her special friend, Betty Tresso.

     Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1930 Bradner Rd. in Northwood with the family to receive guests after 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at Lake Twp. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lake Twp. Fire Dept., Hospice of N.W. Ohio, Calvary Lutheran Church or Genoa Care Center.
