Johnny Prater Obituary

Johnny Ray Prater, 69, passed away August 7, 2019 at Heartland of Perrysburg. He was born March 11, 1950 to White and Irene R. (Etts) Prater. Johnny worked at Standard Oil over 20 years, and ran his own tire business. He was a family man, who loved to play poker and euchre.

He is survived by his children, Stephanie Farley, Roxanne (Dennis Prater) McDaniel, Renee McDaniel, Bryan (Jill) Laas; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; father, White (June) Prater; siblings, Charles (Janet) Prater, Michael (Jewell) Prater, David (Twila) Prater, Lois (David) Allen, Dennis (Roxanne McDaniel) Prater and Carolyn (Robbie) Steele. Johnny is preceded in death by his first wife, Paula (Workman) Prater; second wife, Judy (Laas) Prater; mother, Irene R. (Etts) Prater; brothers, Whitey Prater and Gary Brower.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Monday, August 12, 2019 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
